Ontario Launches new Secure Driver Licence

(Dec. 7, 2007) The Government of Ontario today launched the first public issuance of it's new secure driver licence. This launch culminates a three year effort by ISG to assist with the procurement of the technology used to produce the card, the design of the new enrollment & production system, and overall security & privacy provisions in the card and systems. ISG was first contracted by the Ministry of Transportation in 2004 to provide the guidance and expertise for the new card. Work on the card by ISG was completed earlier this year.
